Lunch Bunch
Lunch Bunch is a school wide reading program that involves a parent and a small group of students (4 students including their own child). The parent brings and reads books to the small group while they eat their lunch. Parents select a special place for their Lunch Bunch (on benches in hallway, near cafeteria, picnic tables, etc.) Some parents have brought in a blanket to sit on. You can also read the Student Handbook about Lunch Bunch. Please send a note with your child to notify us if you plan on coming for a Lunch Bunch so that we can plan ahead of time.

Recess
Please make sure your child is dressed appropriate for the fall and winter weather. We will go outside everyday for recess unless it is raining. Students need a heavy coat/jacket to go outside for recess. The North Carolina weather is unpredictable and many times changes considerably within the same day.
Boxtops
Save and clip Boxtops and Campbell Soup Labels. You can find them on hundreds of items (Trix, Kix, Cheerios, Betty Crocker, Gogurts, Toaster Strudels, Hamburger Helper, Kleenex, Ziplock products, etc.). Check out the PTA website for other ways of supporting Holly Grove Elementary.
Spring Pictures
We are having full body pictures and class pictures on March 11, 2010.
80's Spring Dance
The 80's Spring Dance (formerly known as the Sock Hop) is Friday, March 26. Our class is collecting items to create a basket for this event. Our class basket them is "Seeing Pink: Girls Room Makeover). Any donations will be collected until March 22, 2010.
